After the beginning(2).

As a young lad being born in Belfast during the troubles, the media coverage was immense. All I remember seeing and hearing about on the news was bullets, bombs and atrocities. You would be hard pushed to find anyone who wasn't involved or had close relations with those who weren't involved in the goings-on around the troubles and my family and their friends were no different. Now don't worry this isn't one of those many tales of hard done by people who blame the troubles for their own situation, after all there is many a man who left Northern Ireland and made good else where and that's an opportunity that was available for the majority. In the same note I dont take anything away from those who remained and my Father was one of them. I could've been brought up drinking Fosters and 4x and having Barby's on the beach, but the choice was made and my two beautiful sisters and I were to remain in not so sunny Northern Ireland. Now that I've mentioned my two sisters I will take this opportunity to say a big Hi If they read this and to say that I love them both very much even if they only do get to see me once in a blue moon. I am the oldest of 3 kids although sometimes I wonder and I'm sure my wee sisters think the same. I was the first grandson but the second grand child on my mothers side. To a degree I was spoiled by my grandparents on my mums side. I travelled around Northern Ireland with my Grandfather and a German Shepherd called "Sheba" in an old TK Bedford lorry delivering poly-packing to various shops. My Grandfather was a hulk of a man (nicknamed the Bull) who would argue black was white and would rather put his fist in your face than bid you good day, but I thought the world of him. It was a sad day for me and the Bushmills Distillery when he left this world, I can tell you that. I have a few stories I'll have to post that really tickle me about him, I'm sure he wouldn't mind.
