Measley Morsels

The Mrs and I are now back from our night away from the normality of 3 kids 3 cats and a big house to look after. The evening was very pleasant for us both and we met a lot of new people. I had the lamb for dinner which was beautifully presented, sat on a bed of carrots and mashed potatoes and had pride of centre stage on a "Ten Pence Piece", what I mean is that although it was very nice there just wasn't enough of it. The Mrs had chicken breast which again was just as appealing and yet to my disgust left half of it. If I wasn't so well behaved I'd have whipped it from her plate in the blink of an eye. Tell you what though I made up for it at breakfast with a full blown English a touch of Scottish and a few helpings of Ulster thrown in, "Mmmmm", I dont eat fried food much but I was ravenous this morning, "must've been doing those manly things to the Mrs that gave me an appetite".

On our way back from the hotel we stopped off and had a look around Homebase. Now when I go to those places It just gives me nightmares of doing DIY, luckily we where only looking for something for the garden. This was a good idea I thought cos the future mother-in-law is here and she has greener fingers than Percy Thrower. We came away with a host of Latin named colourful weeds, apparently called "flowers and plants" in some horticultural circles I am told. Nevertheless, as I sit here they are making their way into a bed in our garden. I told the Mrs if I'd have known she wanted flowers, I would risk life and limb to scale the local grave yard wall and she could have as many as I could carry, "she declined". Women! Just as well though cos I dont like heights and that wall is all of about 8 feet high.

Once again I have to go but I'll be back soon so all the best to one and all.
