TEE'd OFF

A wee while ago, "well about 15yrs actually" I was staying in a place called Barrow in Furness due to being on a submarine that was being built there at the time. I lived in a place called Walney Island caravan site. Doesn't that just sound like a lovely place? Well it wasn't! The site was right on the door step of the beach and the wind was a nightmare. How that caravan kept its roof on I will never know because the wind was shocking and every time a gust came the whole place shook.
The site had a Golf course just across the road which you would find many a person on a weekend without a care in the world out swinging his club in no particular direction and cursing at the fact that some unscrupulous little runt had littered their beloved holes, "HeHe". No points for guessing who the runt was. I was out this day in the town celebrating the birth of a new day as I did on a regular basis and started to make my way back home. I passed a pub called the "Periscope", well I didn't actually make it past, I thought I'd go in for one for the road. When I left I was in a serious state and headed straight for the chippy. "Two burgers please and dont spare the burgers". I got them and with one in hand and one in pocket I was off. I got as far as the edge of the golf course and thought I'll just take this wee short-cut across the greens.

Well I have no idea what time I left the pub but it was early hours when I got a shake off this dapper geezer, club in hand at the sixth hole with a look on his face you wouldn't have got if you made his hamster pregnant telling me I was a disgrace. I still had my burger in my hand and the other still in my pocket lucky enough. I have no idea why I never made it home considering I was only a hundred yards or so away from the site. Still it give the boys a laugh when I told them about it.
